Ford County Fair
The Ford County Fair runs June 21-27 in Melvin, IL with fun and entertainment for the entire family. Frankie Ballard and Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr. headline the fair with a concert on June 23. Other events include the queen pageant, C-Bar Rodeo, demo derby, tractor pulls, livestock shows and, of course, starting Tuesday evening, the rides on the midway.
Frankie Ballard and Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles, Jr. hit the stage at 7 p.m. tonight at the Ford County Fair in Melvin. Concert tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. The open and junior sheep show and the junior rabbit show kick off the day’s activities at 8 a.m. at the Ford County Fair in Melvin. Sally the Clown is back today only with her special face painting from 3-9 p.m.. The rides open at 5 p.m. The C-Bar rodeo starts at 7 p.m. in the grandstand. You won’t want to miss the bull riding and barrel racing competitions. Nashville recording artist John King will be in the beer tent after the rodeo. Zach Linley and the Rebel Daredevils at the Ford County Fair June 27
The last day of the Ford County Fair in Melvin starts with the open goat show at 8 a.m. The open rabbit show starts at 9:30 a.m. with the open poultry show starting at 11 a.m. Rides open at 1 p.m. with a special armband price of $10 for the first 250 through the gate. Armbands are good until 5 p.m. when rides go back to regular price. A remote-controlled car demonstration is on the schedule from 1-5 p.m. Demo derby action starts at 6 p.m. Zach Linley and the Rebel Daredevils play in the beer tent after the derby.
