Sawyer Fredericks was named the winner of season eight of “The Voice” last night on the season finale that featured many performances from some of music’s biggest names.
The performances from Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, John Fogerty, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor and the Top 20 from this season filled the first hour and fifty minutes of the live broadcast.
Finally it came down to the moment and Carson Daly joined the final four on stage to reveal the results of the finals on season eight of “The Voice.”
Koryn Hawthorn was revealed as the fourth place artist to start off with. Next it was revealed that Joshua Davis finished the season in third place. That left Meghan Linsey from Blake Shelton‘s team and Sawyer Fredericks from Pharrell Williams‘ team standing on the stage.
Carson then announced that Sawyer Fredericks was the winner of season eight of “The Voice” meaning Meghan is the runner-up.
The win by Sawyer gave Pharrell Williams his first win as a coach on the show.
If you read my blog from yesterday you know that based on the iTunes sales I called the results in that exact order. In my view, Sawyer and Pharrell simply created music that people wanted to buy and created a gap that the other artists could not close.
All of the artists and coaches in the final four should be proud because they are a group of very talented artists that have a bright future ahead of them.
Congratulations to Sawyer Fredericks and his coach Pharrell Williams on winning season eight of “The Voice.”
