Last night (11/7) was the first live show of The Voice Season 11 AND the first live eliminations of the season. Since tonight is election night, Blake Shelton and the other coaches had to not only watch their five artists perform live for America for the first time, but they also had to watch as two of those artists were eliminated from the competition on the same night.
America’s votes were tallied in real-time and revealed on the show live. The top two in the voting were saved to continue on the show. Then, each coach had to decide to advance one of the remaining three artists to next week’s live shows.
You can watch the live performances from each member of Blake’s team in the videos below. They are in no particular order.
When the votes were counted, America chose to save both Sundance Head and Austin Allsup to move on to next week’s live shows on The Voice Season 11. That left what was obvious by the look on Blake’s face a very tough decision between Courtney Harrell, Dana Harper and Jason Warrior to remain on the show. Ultimately Blake kept Courtney on the show moving forward.
You can find out which artists remain on the other teams at The Voice website here.
It was revealed on last night’s show that the Top 12 will get to work with reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year and music icon Garth Brooks as the key advisor for next week’s live performances.

I understand why The Voice did the show the way they did last night with tonight’s election taking over TV for the evening. However, I did make one observation I feel like sharing. There was very little interaction from the coaches on last night’s show. In my opinion, that really hurt the entertainment value of the show. I feel like that interaction from the coaches is what makes the show worth watching to me. Again, I understand the reason it was done and just hope that this style is only done when there is something that forces it to be that way like this time.
The Top 12 on The Voice Season 11 will perform for our votes Monday, November 14th starting at 7:00 pm central time (8:00 pm eastern time) and the interaction from the coaches will return at the same time.
