Miranda Lambert reveals in the June issue of Country Living magazine that she and hubby Blake Shelton are building a new house.
In the feature article of the issue due on newsstands May 19th, Miranda reveals how the design of the new house is progressing: “We’re building a new house, and I’ve been saving inspiration on Pinterest. A friend of mine recently said, ‘I can see your Pinterest boards, and all you have on there are dog rooms.'”
The couple have adopted a petting zoo full of furry friends over the years. Miranda admits it is time to start thinking about her and Blake’s place in the new house: “My husband and I have 15 rescue animals, and I spend way too much time planning our pets’ spaces. I’m like, okay, I probably need to move on to the laundry room!”
The country music power couple do not let their success and popularity go to their heads. They still live a true country lifestyle around their house when they are not on the road: “I now have my own garden, but Blake is really the gardener. This year, we’re planting tomatoes and strawberries to make jam. I have a little downtime this summer, so I’m looking forward to this task.”
