Chris Lane is enjoying a rising career in country music which he says would have never happened if it wasn’t for Keith Urban.
Chris recently scored his first #1 single when “Fix” reached the top of the country singles charts. The song is from his new album Girl Problems, which is available everywhere now.
He is currently out on the road as part of the Rascal Flatts “Rhythm And Roots Tour” where he is getting to play for thousands of potential new fans. Chris would likely give Rascal Flatts credit for helping his career grow, but he says that if it wasn’t for Keith Urban his musical career would have never even happened.
“He was the only reason that I even learned how to play the guitar to be honest with you,” Chris explains as he talks about Keith’s impact on his life. “I’d been to several of his concerts,” he shares, “That alone inspired me to even want to play the guitar.”
Chris admits that early in his life he had no dreams of being a country music star, “I wasn’t even singing at that point, I mean I grew up singing to the radio and stuff like that.”
However, after seeing Keith play guitar and starting to learn to play himself, Chris’ path in life began to change even if he didn’t know it at the time. “Once I learned how to play the guitar, then I started to figure out how to sing and play at the same time not ever knowing in those moments that it would lead to something like this,” he confesses.
Perhaps some day down the road the story will be able to come full-circle with Chris Lane joining Keith Urban on stage to play guitars and sing together. That would be a cool moment for him and fun thing for fans to watch.
Chris has announced that the follow-up to his hit song “Fix” will be a song called “For Her.” You can get your first listen to that new song just below.
