Carrie Underwood Talks About Being Bullied [VIDEO]

It may be hard to believe, but Carrie Underwood was bullied about her weight.

When you watch Carrie on the awards shows and in her music videos, you would never think that ANYBODY could have ever bullied the superstar over her appearance in any way.

However, in a recent interview with Extra the singer-songwriter reveals that early in her career she was indeed bullied about her weight. In the video you can watch above Carrie explains that the result of the bullying was her taking a look at her life and saying, “Okay, I’m not making some healthy choices and maybe I can do more of that, not for those people, but for me.”

Extra was in Carrie’s hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma for the filming of new promotional videos for her active wear line Calia by Carrie Underwood. Carrie also shared her kettle bell workouts with Extra correspondent Alecia Davis. You can watch a video of that workout at the Extra website here.

You can hear what it was like for Carrie to return to her hometown and high school in the video at the bottom of the page.

Carrie is currently out on her “Storyteller Tour” and will join Brad Paisley again to co-host the 50th Annual CMA Awards Show November 2nd on ABC TV.
