The latest single from Eric Church has become his latest #1 single.

The song “Record Year” has climber to the top of both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts for this week according to the advanced release of those charts.

Eric says of the chart topping song, “There’s a line in the song that talks about ‘slowly planning my survival/in a three-foot stack of vinyl,’ … I remember, whatever it is that I had to get over or get past or get through, I remember records being my refuge during that time. It was a song, and it IS a song that I’m proud of and I think it’ll be one of the bigger ones in our career.”

The now number one song from Eric is from his latest album Mr. Misunderstood and marks the fifth time he has hit #1 with a solo single.

Eric has a total of seven #1 career singles to his name when you factor in his collaborations with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan on the song “The Only Way I Know” and with Keith Urban on “Raise ‘Em Up.”

Congratulations to Eric Church on his number one single “Record Year.”
