UPDATE (7/8): Kenny Chesney has also changed the title of the album to Cosmic Hallelujah according to a message he posted on Twitter.

We will have to wait a few more months for the new album from Kenny Chesney, but we will get a duet with Kenny and pop-rock star Pink as a result.

Kenny’s new album title Some Town Somewhere was scheduled to be released TOMORROW, July 8th. However, the release date has been pushed back to October 28th.

Part of the reason for the delay of the album release is to include a duet with Pink titled “Setting The World On Fire.” Kenny knows it could be a year or more before he gets back into the studio to make another album and did not want to wait that long to share this new collaboration with his fans.

“Sure, it would be easier to just leave everything on schedule,” Kenny says, “but when you have something you know is great, and it captures the best part of being alive, why wouldn’t you slow down enough to make it happen in the moment?”

Kenny spent some time with Pink recently and after getting to know her, he knew her powerful voice would be perfect for the song. “To me, great singers are the ones who can get inside a song and capture the spark,” Kenny explains. As far as Pink’s performance on the new song Kenny says, “When you hear Pink on this song, you believe her – and to me, that’s everything the song required to come to life.”

The debut single “Noise” from Kenny’s forthcoming new album is currently just a notch outside the top five at #6 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts and still climbing.

Kenny is spending his summer finishing up the new album and doing concerts on his “Spread The Love Tour” which will make a stop at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St Louis on Thursday, July 14th. You can win tickets to that concert by joining B104 at the Lexington Street Party this Saturday evening, July 9th. Get the details here.
