Will Blake Shelton’s Team Advance to Top Eight on “The Voice”?

The live shows continued on season 8 of “The Voice” last night (4/20) and the question for me is will all of Team Blake advance to the Top 8?

The top 10 performed in the hopes of gaining America’s vote to advance to the Top 8 for next week. Tonight (4/21) during the live results show the bottom three in votes will perform to become the Twitter instant save and advance while the other two will be headed home.

The competition has been pretty close since the live shows began and last night was no exception. In past seasons I have used the iTunes sales to try to get a feel for what might happen on the results show. Let’s do that again today.

Here are where the artists ranked on the iTunes all-genre chart at 8:30am central time this morning (voting ends at 11am central time).

#3 – Koryn Hawthorne “Make It Rain” {Team Pharrell}

#5 – Sawyer Fredericks “Iris” {Team Pharrell}

#26 – Meghan Linsey “Home” {Team Blake}

#46 – India Carney “Run To You” {Team Xtina}

#48 – Hannah Kirby “Shout” {Team Blake}

#55 – Kimberly Nichole “Something’s Got a Hold On Me” {Team Xtina}

#80 – Corey Kent White “Unwound” {Team Blake}

#87 – Rob Taylor “A Song For You” {Team Xtina}

#89 – Joshua Taylor “Hold Back The River” {Team Adam}

#96 – Deanna Johnson “Somebody To Love” {Team Adam}

Based on the iTunes votes at the time of this blog’s writing all of Team Blake will advance to the top 8. However, there are still two-and-a-half hours for people to purchase songs that will count as votes. There are also other methods of voting that the iTunes sales do not show.

That means that while Blakes three artists appear to be safe on iTunes, any of them could be in the bottom three. I will say that because of their rank on iTunes both Meghan and Hannah are likely to be safe (though no guarantee on that). However, Corey Kent White, the competition’s only country music act, could fins himself in the bottom three needing the Twitter save to advance.

We will see for sure when the live result show for “The Voice” airs tonight starting at 7pm central time on NBC.
