Blake Shelton’s Chair from ‘The Voice’ Headed to Hall Of Fame [VIDEO]

Blake Shelton‘s spinning red chair from The Voice is headed to the Country Music Hall of Fame. However, it is not his favorite piece of memorabilia that will be displayed.

The new exhibit “Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story” opened today (5/27) at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville and will run through November 6th.

The famous red chair where Blake has helped make The Voice a huge hit for NBC TV by hitting his button to choose his team, pointed his finger to himself to persuade artists to pick him, launched many jabs at friend and fellow coach Adam Levine and has sat in to become the winning coach on the show four times will be one of the many artifacts from Blake’s life and career that fans can see in the exhibit.

Other artifacts and memorabilia on display will include a memo pad with the lyrics to the first song Blake wrote, his first royalty check, in the amount of $2.73, and a special knife country star Hoyt Axton gave him when he first came to Nashville.

That knife is Blake’s favorite artifact on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit. In the video below he tells the story of when Hoyt gave him the knife on his 18th birthday and how that same day he heard the song that would become one of his signature songs, “Old Red.”
