Last night the Top 9 on The Voice gathered for the live results show to find out who would be eliminated from season 10.
Blake Shelton started the night with three members on Team Blake and Christina Aguilera also had three on Team Xtina. Adam Levine started the night with two artists while Pharrell Williams only had a single artist left in the singing competition.
Over the first 40 minutes of the show it was revealed that Team Adam advanced both artists to the Top 8 as Laith Al-Saadi and Shalyah Fearing were both voted through by America. The votes also saved Hannah Huston, the only artist remaining for Team Pharrell.
Alisan Porter and Bryan Bautista from Team Xtina were excited to advance from the voting as were Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield and Mary Sarah.
That set up performances from Paxton Ingram of Team Blake and Nick Hagelin of Team Xtina to compete for the Twitter Save. Watch the two performances from the show last night below.
When the show removed the graphic from the screen that showed the voting live it was at 50% for both artists. When the five-minute voting window closed, Carson Daly revealed the artist that was saved and advanced to the Top 8 on The Voice.
With Paxton winning the Twitter Save that makes Blake Shelton the only coach advancing with all three of the artists remaining that began the live playoffs. Blake is trying to get the fifth win as a coach for Team Blake as season 10 is getting close to the end. The Top 8 on The Voice will perform Monday, May 16th starting at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
