Martina released her 13th studio album last Friday (4/29), her first for NASH Icon Records, a joint venture between BMLG and Cumulus Media (Cumulus is the parent company of B104). The album is available digitally and physically everywhere.

Here is the track list for Reckless by Martina McBride:
1. “Reckless”
2. “It Ain’t Pretty”
3. “Just Around the Corner”
4. “Everybody Wants to Be Loved”
5. “Low All Afternoon”
6. “That’s the Thing About Love”
7. “The Real Thing”
8. “Diamond”
9. “We’ll Pick Up Where We Left Off”
10. “You and You Alone”

Many of those songs spread a message of hope. It seems that Martina tends to gravitate to songs with an inspirational message when picking songs for her album.

“I guess I do, because I do choose a lot of those,” Martina confesses, adding, “You know, most of my songs have hope in them somewhere, some kind of a hopeful sentiment.”

Why does she lean that way with the songs she picks? “I just think that’s who I am, you know?” Martina elaborates, “I don’t really set out to find any particular kind of song, but when I hear a song like ‘Just Around The Corner,’ for example. I mean, I relate to it so I feel like if I relate to it other people will be able to as well.”

Well, after 13 studio albums, four compilation albums, one live album and over 50 singles not to mention 14 Grammy nominations, four CMA Female Vocalist of the Year awards and three ACM Female Vocalist of the Year Awards in your career, I would say if it’s not broke, don’t fix it Martina. Keep picking the songs the way you always have.

Personally, I think Martina has one of the best female voices of all times! And, don’t even get me started about those blue eyes!!
