Last night (4/25) the top 11 on season 10 of The Voice performed to earn the votes of America and advance to the top 10. How did Blake Shelton‘s team do?
The show started out with all the lights set to purple to pay respect to Prince who passed away last week. Each coach said a few words about what the music icon meant to them to also pay their individual respects.
After that, it was down to business as the top 11 performed live.
Let’s take a look back at the performances by Team Blake.
Paxton Ingram got back to his gospel roots by performing the song “Break Every Chain” by Tasha Cobbs.
Mary Sarah put her traditional country style with a contemporary edge to the Heidi Newfield song “Johnny And June.”
Adam Wakefield turned the classic rock hit “Lights” by Journey into his own soulful country style song.
There are the three performances by the three artists that remain on Blake Shelton’s team. So, how is the voting going for them? Well, there is only a single method of voting that we can see before the results show tonight to get a possible gauge. That would be the iTunes sales votes.
I checked the iTunes all-genre chart at 8:30 am central time this morning (4/26) and here is where the songs for the top 11 on The Voice were at that time.
#20 – Paxton Ingram “Break Every Chain” (Team Blake)
#27 – Mary Sarah “Johnny And June” (Team Blake)
#29 – Leith Al-Saadi “Make It Rain” (Team Adam)
#31 – Alisan Porter “Stay With Me Baby” #31 (Team Xtina)
#35 – Adam Wakefield “Lights” (Team Blake)
#36 – Hannah Huston “I Can’t Make You Love Me” (Team Pharrell)
#82 – Bryan Bautista “Just The Way You Are” (Team Xtina)
#101 – Nick Hagelin “Your Body Is A Wonderland” (Team Xtina)
#103 – Shalyah Fearing “The Climb” (Team Adam)
#106 – Owen Danoff “Fire And Rain” (Team Adam)
#115 – Daniel Passino “Time After Time” ( Team Pharrell)
These numbers will change before voting ends at 11am central/12noon eastern time. Plus, there are the other forms of voting that we cannot track as fans/viewers. However, based on the iTunes chart Blake’s artists look to be moving to next week’s show.
To find out for sure we will have to watch the Live Results Show of The Voice tonight (4/26) on NBC starting at 7pm central/8pm eastern time. As an added bonus for country music fans, Thomas Rhett will be performing on the show tonight.
