Darius Rucker has made another #1 debut on Billboard with his new album “Southern Style.”

The new album from Darius moved 52,000 copies in the first week of release according to Nielsen Music to make the chart topping debut on the Billboard Country Albums chart. That marks four country albums and four number one debuts for the former Hootie and the Blowfish front man.

The album’s debut single “Homegrown Honey” became the seventh #1 country single for Darius just last week.

According to Billboard Country the fourth number one country album in a row is impressive, but not the record. Glen Campbell holds that record with seven back in the sixties.

As far as debuting number one the most times in a row from the very first release from an artist, that record is currently held by Tim McGraw and Miranda Lambert as each of them had their first five albums debut at the top. Miranda’s next album would give her the record alone if it makes a number one debut on the Billboard Country Albums chart (whenever that album is made and released).

Nonetheless, a huge congratulation is in order for Darius Rucker for his #1 debut of his new album “Southern Style” on the Billboard Country Albums chart!
