Blake Shelton‘s girlfriend Gwen Stefani didn’t attend the ACM Awards Show Sunday (4/3) itself, but if you were wondering she was is Las Vegas with him.
Blake’s ex-wife Miranda Lambert attended the awards show with her new boyfriend country singer-songwriter Anderson East. The two walked the red carpet together for the first time since her divorce last year. They sat together inside the awards show as Miranda claimed her seventh consecutive win in the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year category.
Blake was incorporated in the opening of the show that he stepped away from co-hosting for the first time since 2010 (which was coincidentally the first year that Miranda won the female vocalist award). He also performed his latest single “Came Here To Forget” early in the show.
I’m sure that many people (including me) were scanning the audience shots to see if Gwen was in attendance with Blake. She was not there.
However, Blake’s label mate Brett Eldredge posted the picture above to social media with the message, “Last nights party was amazing… @blakeshelton had to bring a hot date and show us all up…” The picture shows Brett (second from left) with Blake and Gwen to his left along with three other music industry people (likely Warner Music Nashville executives since that is the label Blake and Brett record for) at an ACM after-party.
Brett also performed his latest #1 single “Drunk On Your Love” on the awards show.
Blake’s response to Brett’s social media message was simply, “Ha!!!! Great job last night brother.”
I still see so many people being ugly to both Blake and Miranda over their split. I have said this before and I will say it again. None of us knows what happened to end their marriage. While it is sad for those of us that thought they made a great couple, they are just human like the rest of us. There is no need to be ugly to either side of the situation. The best thing to do is just be glad that they are both moving on and seem to have found some happiness in the process. It is time for the all of their fans to just move on as well and stop the hate. Of course, that’s just my opinion.
