Peyton Manning has officially announced his retirement from playing in the NFL.
The reigning Super Bowl Champion QB was joined by the Denver Broncos’ general manager John Elway, CEO and President Joe Ellis and head coach Gary Kubiak for the press conference.
During the announcement Peyton reflected on his 18 year NFL career and made the statement, “There is something about 18 years … 18 is a good number,” he said, adding, “Today, I retire from pro football.”
Will the two-time Super Bowl Champion offered this insight to those wondering if he would miss playing, “I revere football. I love the game. You don’t have to wonder if I’ll miss the game. Absolutely. Absolutely, I will.”
