Last night (3/1) was the second night of Blind Auditions on season 10 of The Voice. So which artists joined Blake Shelton on Team Blake?
I’ll tell you first that the other coaches all added three artists to their teams last night bringing Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera’s teams to a total of five artists each. Pharrell Williams also scored three more artists to bring his team to six artists. See which artists joined those teams here.
Adam Wakefield took the stage to perform a Chris Stapleton style version of the classic George Jones song “Tennessee Whiskey.” It only took the first phrase for Adam Levine to turn his chair. Blake pushed his button not too much longer after that. When the performance was over it was time for the only two coaches to be on every season of The Voice to battle it out to convince the Hanover, New Hampshire singer to join their team. In the end Adam chose to keep it in the country family by choosing Blake as his coach.
Marietta, Georgia singer (born in El Salvador) Angie Keilhauer decided to take a small risk by singing a song originally recorded by a male artist. She put her style on “I Hold On” by Dierks Bentley. The risk paid off as it got an almost simultaneous three button push near the end of the song from Adam, Blake and Pharrell. After her family was invited on stage and the three coaches voiced their pitches to join their teams, she makes the choice to join Team Blake by choosing Blake as her coach.
Blake’s team already has some definite potential winners. I can’t wait to see what other artists he is able to add to Team Blake next week.
Season 10 of The Voice has gotten off to a great start with some talented artists and the fun between the coaches that has helped make the award winning show a huge success.
The Blind Auditions will continue Monday, March 7th at 7 PM central (8 PM eastern) on NBC.
