Gwen Stefani confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that her new single “Make Me Like You” IS about Blake Shelton.

Earlier today I posted a blog about Gwen’s new single and her filming the music video for it live on the GRAMMYs. I also speculated that the song was inspired by her boyfriend and fellow coach on “The Voice.”

This afternoon I was doing some searching on the internet and found the video above of Gwen’s appearance on the late night talk show from last night (2/16) where Jimmy asked Gwen straight out, “That song is about Blake Shelton?”

At first it appeared that the pop music star would sidestep the question about her relationship with the country star as she has so many times with a laugh to the question. However, this time she decided to be forthcoming as she quickly answered, “It is actually, yeah. I will admit that that song is about that guy, yeah.”

Jimmy made the observation, “Isn’t it great that you can take something in your life and you can actually make something out of it that’s a creative expression?”

Gwen responded that she agreed and again told how her current album reflects everything, good and bad that she has been going through in her life personally.
