Country music stars don’t just sing about living in the country, they actually love the lifestyle. Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert are perfect examples of that.
Of course some of the seclusion of country life might appeal to the country music stars as a “get-a-way” from their fame. However, I think it is more than that for the majority of stars in the country music industry.
Carrie reveals that country living is how she was raised and what she still loves today. “I like being able to run around barefoot like in the yard and see like stars at night. And, there’s somethin’ in not be able to hear anything when you walk outside (laughs)…there’s somethin’ really nice about that,” Carrie says, adding, “you can sit out on the porch and you don’t hear cars and, you know, construction and stuff like that. It’s just…there’s somethin’ about the country.”
Miranda obviously loves the country life as well. Her success in the country music industry has enabled her to embrace the lifestyle in the way that most of us can only dream about. Variety reports that she just purchased her own piece of country living that covers 400-plus acres on an estate about an hour south of Nashville.
Miranda’s slice of country life includes two “rustic-looking yet luxuriously appointed” cabins (one pictured above), 75 acres of fenced pastureland, a lake with a dock and boathouse, a two-stall horse barn and a six-bay garage that features a loft-style apartment. Miranda reportedly paid in the neighborhood of $3.4 million for her piece of country living.
You can see more pictures of Miranda Lambert’s new home in the country on Variety’s website here.
I think that is one of the things that draws so many people to country music. Although it may be on a scale that most of us cannot afford, the life that we live and country music stars sing about is also the life that they live.
