Kelsea Ballerini was on vacation in Florida when and where Charles Kelley was doing a solo concert so, the Lady Antebellum singer brought her on stage to sing “Need You Now.”

The male lead singer of Lady A is doing some solo work while the trio takes a break. He was doing a show last week (1/5) in West Palm Beach.

Kelsea was taking some time off and happened to be in West Palm Beach on vacation and decided to surprise her country music peer by showing up to the show.

Of course, when a singer shows up to a concert of another artist there is always a good chance the visiting artist will be put to work.

That is what happened this time. Charles brought Kelsea on stage and the two performed the Lady Antebellum mega-hit “Need You Now.”

After convincing her to sing the song with him, Charles told the crowd, “Hillary Scott and Kelsea are best friends, so I can’t wait for her to see this on YouTube. This will be great. You gotta make her proud.” Of course the original version of the song had Hillary singing with Charles for the Lady A hit single.

In the video of the surprise performance you can see Charles ask Kelsea after the band starts playing, “Do you know the lyrics?” Kelsea responds, “I sure hope so.”
