Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton stole the show on the CMA Awards earlier this year. However, it was not the first time Justin joined forces with a country music star live.
Country Music Nation discovered a video of Justin’s concert December 19th of 2014 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on YouTube.
The video starts with Justin asking the audience, “This is the country music capital of the world, right?” After the crowd roars their agreement, he plays the iconic opening notes of “Friends In Low Places.”
The audience powers through the first verse and chorus with the pop music superstar when Justin says, “Hold on, hold on. Now somethin’ don’t feel right.”
When Justin brings out Garth Brooks, the man who made the party anthem his signature song, the audience erupts in pure excitement. The two superstars proceed to spend the next eight minutes performing the song together.
