Christina Aguilera will return to “The Voice” for season 10, but Blake Shelton doesn’t want Gwen Stefani to not be on the show next season.
Christina is one of the original four coaches for the show and will be returning to her chair for the next season of the hit NBC TV singing competition. That means Gwen will not be on the show when it returns for the next group of Blind Auditions in 2016.
The current four coaches Gwen, Blake, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams sat down with Extra for an interview yesterday (12/10) and when the subject of Gwen not being there next season was brought up her fellow coach and boyfriend Blake said, “I don’t want Gwen to not be on the show; why can’t we have a fifth coach?”
When asked who she would miss the most on the show Gwen’s coy response was, “I wonder…”
She quickly moved on by indicating she would miss everybody by saying, “It’s the combination, it’s the chemistry.” Gwen went on to explain that she is, “devastated that I think only have like three more looks to do, like three more outfits and that I’m not gonna be around these guys. It’s hurting me.”
While Blake and Gwen are not hiding their relationship, they are also not talking completely openly about it. The two apparently went out to dinner after last Tuesday night’s (12/8) semifinals results show and were photographed during a public display of affection which you can see here.
The rest of the interview moved to what Gwen would do when she is not on next season, who would play the coaches in a movie about their lives and who did the best impersonations of their fellow coaches.

Not that I was asked, but I will give you my personal opinion. I have watched the show from season one on. I think the best chemistry and entertainment value come from the current four coaches on the show Adam, Gwen, Pharrell and Blake. No disrespect intended toward the other coaches that have been on the show Christina, Cee Lo Green, Shakira or Usher.
The final shows of season nine of “The Voice” will air on NBC TV Monday (12/14) and Tuesday (12/15).
