Last night (12/1) was the Top 10 Live Elimination Show on season nine of “The Voice” and not only was the Top 9 revealed, but we also found out about a special guest for next week.
One of the things quickly revealed last night was when the show’s host Carson Daly asked Blake Shelton to tell everybody about next week’s special guest advisor for the semi-finals on “The Voice.” Blake revealed that the Top 9 would be mentored by the one and only Dolly Parton who will also perform on the live results show Tuesday (12/8).
Then, the live results show got down to business revealing which artists were saved by America’s votes. Through the first half of the one-hour show it was revealed that Team Blake‘s three artists Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts and Zach Seabaugh all advanced to the Top 9.
Team Adam also remained intact as Jordan Smith, Amy Vachal and Shelby Brown all advanced on voting.
Team Pharrell’s last remaining artist Madi Davis also advanced as did Team Gwen’s Jeffery Austin.
The bottom two in the Top 10 were both from Team Gwen as Korin Bukowski found herself in danger of being eliminated for a third straight week. Joining her was Braiden Sunshine facing elimination for the first time since the voting was turned over to the viewers. This week the iTunes votes did reveal which two artists would be at the bottom of the voting.
Both artists performed in hopes of getting the Twitter Save on “The Voice.”
After the performance seen above the five-minute Twitter Save window was opened and then the results were revealed.
The third time was not the charm as Korin was eliminated from “The Voice” season nine when Braiden won the Twitter save.
The Top 9 on “The Voice” season nine will again perform live on NBC starting at 7pm central time Monday, December 7th in hopes of moving on to the finals.
