RaeLynn is helping bring awareness to the benefits of music programs through her "Music In Schools Tour" that will start tomorrow (3/7) at Disney World.
If there is anybody who truly understands the importance and influence a childhood music class can have, it is RaeLynn.
The rising country music star recalls how participation in music programs in school guided her to her path in life; "The way for me to be creative was being in choir and being in orchestra because you know, I wasn't the kid that was good in sports. I was the kid that was always writing songs and playing my guitar. So, having those electives was always so awesome every day because it was my way to learn more about the craft that I wanted to do in the future."
RaeLynn will kick off the 30th Anniversary of National Music In Our Schools Month tomorrow when she performs as part of the Festival Disney, a national competitive music fest for high school students.
Following that performance RaeLynn will travel to five lucky schools throughout the country joining the Give A Note Foundation, National Association For Music Education and Radio Disney to recognize the schools for their achievements in music.
RaeLynn will join Rascal Flatts this summer as an opening act on their tour.
