Today is National Spread The Word To End The Word Day! It's a day to pledge to stop using the "R" word, aka retard or retarded, and instead use the word respect because that's what we all deserve, respect. 

Well Adam Levine and Maroon 5 seem to have taken the pledge to a whole other level because they recently invited one of their biggest fans to hangout with them backstage at their show in Washington, D.C. 10-year-old Christopher Warren is a huge Maroon 5 fan, and especially loves Adam Levine, and he has Down Syndrome. 

Christopher's teacher recorded a video of him singing and dancing to Maroon 5 and it got back to the band that he was their number one fan, so they invited him to hang with them backstage when they were in town. When Christopher finally met Adam backstage, he got really nervous and had a bit of a panic attack and needed to lay down to calm himself. So, Adam and the band decided to ease Christopher's nerves by suggesting that the entire band join him by laying on the floor for a picture and a song.
