Last night (10/14) the Battle Rounds continued on “The Voiceseason nine and Blake Shelton had to choose a winner and stole an artist.

To begin with, Blake paired pop artist Chris Crump with country artist Krista Hughes. He gave them the song “When I Get Where I’m Going” which was written and recorded by Team Blake adviser Brad Paisley. When the two finished singing the song, Blake made the choice to keep Chris Crump on his team moving forward.

Pharrell Williams paired two of his young, powerful and unique artists for a performance of the song “You Keep Me Hangin’ On.” Both young ladies did a great job which made the decision a tough one for Pharrell. In the end he decided to keep Siahna Im on Team Pharrell. That left Ivonne Acero available to steal. Both Gwen Stefani and Blake pushed their buttons to steal her. That put the decision of which team to join in the hands of Ivonne. Honestly, Gwen lobbied hard for her and presented what I would consider the best argument for the young singer to choose her. However, the “Blake Shelton Charm” must have been working extra strong, because Ivonne surprisingly chose Blake as her new coach.

Blake and his Team Blake adviser Brad Paisley decided to have a little fun between working with the artists. They did a duet version of George Strait‘s mega-hit song “The Fireman” and you can watch the video below.

The Battle Rounds continue Monday night, October 19th on season nine of “The Voice” starting at 7pm central time on NBC TV.
