Last week the new album from the “King of Country Music” made its debut at #2 behind Don Henley’s Cass County album. This week the latest project from George moves up to #1 on the Billboard Country Album sales chart with sales of another 28,000 copies.

The title of the album may make one think about who you would like to have a conversation with. For George the answer is his father who passed away in 2013, “Well, I’d like to have a couple conversations with my dad again, that would be huge. I miss that part. If I had to pick somebody to have a CBC… I’d love to have a CBC with my dad, even though he never was a drinker! I think it would have been so much fun. We had great conversations; it would be just awesome to be able to do that again. So, that’s who I would pick.”

The two might talk about how this album becomes George’s 26th #1 on the Billboard Country Album Chart. It just adds another number to the record setting total for chart topping albums that “King George” already holds.

Congratulations to George Strait on his #1 album Cold Beer Conversation.
