In just over a month Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will again co-host the CMA Awards Show. Carrie says she will make sure they don’t anger their friends with their monologue and bits.

Carrie says that when it comes to the comedy she makes sure that Brad and she keeps in mind these are their friends and colleagues, “These are our friends and they’re people we have to work with afterwards and look at and run into and…plus we’re not mean people and we don’t want to make people uncomfortable or upset about what’s going on in lives, like these are people’s lives.”

The country music singer-songwriter knows that because of recent events that divorce is something that they cannot ignore, “I know that it’s definitely, it is a topic for this year ’cause it seems like it’s been so many people that have split up, but maybe we do it in a different way.”

So how does Carrie think they will handle the topic? “I don’t know, again we’re not in the business of making people mad at us,” she says, adding, “Yeah, we’ll figure it out and I’ll drag my feet and we’ll make sure that it’s something that nobody will get mad at us for.”

We will all have to tune in to the 49th Annual CMA Awards Show November 4th on ABC TV to see how co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley handle the elephant in the room subject.
