Many of you have asked me “Who sings that song ‘Burning House‘?” in the past months. You will get the chance to see the singer, Cam on Good Morning America Tuesday, September 1st.

The California native singer-songwriter will make her first ever appearance on the ABC morning show and perform the personal and powerful hit single “Burning House.” The song is, at least in part, autobiographical for Cam who co-wrote it.

Cam told NASH Country Weekly, “I was going to see a fellow that I had broken up with, and it didn’t end very well,” she recalls. “I was going to see him and I wanted to plan the conversation. So the night before, I was planning how I was going to have us be alone for a second at this party, to then be able to apologize. I had planned all the steps out. And that night, then I had all of that on my mind, so then I had the dream. That’s kind of like what happens with music.”

You can read more of the Nash Next Artist Spotlight of Cam from NASH Country Weekly here.

If you don’t want to wait until Tuesday to see Cam on TV, you can catch her feature story on this weekend’s edition of the CMT Hot 20 Countdown. The feature story will premiere Saturday, August 29th at 8 am central time and will re-air Sunday, August 30th at the same time on CMT.

“Burning House” is from Cam’s forthcoming debut album Welcome to Cam Country. The release date for the album has not been determined yet.
