Luke Combs admitted that Tracy Chapman pointed out a mistake he made with his cover of her song “Fast Car.” Luke recorded some of the lyrics incorrectly.
A TikTok was posted recently by a concert goer of Luke explaining the entire situation about the mistake. When the two singer-songwriters were talking, Tracy pointed out that the actual lyrics near the end of the song are, “We gotta make a decision,” but Luke had recorded, “Still gotta make a decision.”
Luke told concert audience, “That was the first time that I knew that I recorded the song incorrectly. It was her telling me that. Because I remember, when she said that, I wanted to crawl into a hole.”
