Last night (8/15) CMT Giants: Alabama aired with country stars saluting the legendary group by performing the songs they made famous.
The special show included performances by: Blake Shelton with Steve Wariner, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt, Riley Green, Jamey Johnson, Pam Tillis with Lorrie Morgan and Little Big Town. All these acts performed some of Alabama’s iconic hit songs to pay homage to the group’s impact on country music over the decades.
Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry, the remaining members of the band also took the stage to talk about the band and perform one of their signature song “Mountain Music.” Bandmate Jeff Cook passed away in 2022 after struggling with Parkinson’s disease.
