Tom Selleck may be right when he said that he didn’t think the Blue Bloods universe was over.
CBS announced that the TV series would air its final episodes at the end of the year. Tom stated in a recent interview that he and the rest of the cast feel the show has more to offer and want to keep it going. Perhaps they will get that chance with a new name and focus.
TVLine reports that Paramount Global co-CEO Brian Robbins alluded to a possible new Blue Bloods offshoot series at Paramount’s annual stockholders meeting yesterday (6/4). “In TV, new franchise extensions are coming for Dexter, Billions, and Blue Bloods,” he stated.
The spin-offs for Dexter and Billions were already announced. However, this is the first time anything about a Blue Bloods spin-off has been mentioned. I guess we will have to wait to see if CBS will confirm this news.
