The estimated jackpot for tonight’s (4/1) Powerball drawing has been raised to $1 Billion!

Last Saturday night (3/30) nobody matched all the numbers to win the jackpot. At that time, the new estimated jackpot was set at $975 million.

However, apparently the sales have reached the point that Powerball officials have bumped up the estimated jackpot for the April 1st drawing. The official Powerball website states, “This is no April Fools’ Day joke, we have an advertised Powerball jackpot that’s hit $1 billion to kick off the month of April.”

This makes tonight’s drawing the 5th largest Powerball jackpot ever.

The overall odds of winning a prize in tonight’s Powerball drawing are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
