A Kansas man is tapping into his inner Clark Griswold.
In the 1989 holiday film “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” Griswold, played by Chevy Chase, covers his home with 25,000 imported Italian twinkle lights.
Michael Russell started his “Griswold House” decorations 15 years ago. It has reached the point this year that he has decorated the outside of his home in Rose Hill with more than 100,000 lights and 40 inflatables.
Russell said his neighbors have even joined in on the fun by allowing him to expand into their yards.
The display sees nearly 8,000 people visit the house in December.
