Actor Treat Williams Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Actor Treat Williams was killed yesterday (6/12) while riding his motorcycle yesterday in Vermont.

His rep says the 71-year-old was making a turn when a car cut him off.

Treat’s big break came when he got a part in the movie version of Hair (based on the Broadway musical) back in 1979.

Recently he had a recurring role on Chicago Fire where he played “Kelly Severide’s” father, “Benny Severide” until his character’s death in season 7. He also played retired NYPD detective “Lenny Ross” in Blue Bloods season 6 and season 8.

Treat played “Mick O’Brien” in a Hallmark Channel television series called Chesapeake Shores from 2016 to 2022. He also played “Dr. Andrew Brown” on the WB’s Everwood from 2002 to 2006.

Treat appeared in several Hallmark movies, and the Netflix musical Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square.

Some of his other credits included Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead, Heart of Dixie, and the TV shows The Late Shift and Chesapeake Shores.

People.com reports Treat was the only person hurt in the accident Monday (6/12). At the writing of this blog Vermont State Police were still investigating the accident. There was no indication as to who was at fault for the incident or if any tickets will be issued to the driver of the car.
