Thanks to storm coverage, more than half of The Voice did not air here in central Illinois. You may be wondering what happened with Blake Shelton and Team Blake last night in the final night of the Battle Rounds?
Luckily, I was able to go to YouTube to find out what we missed. Blake’s final Battle Rounds pairing should have been Neil Salsich and Alex Whalen. Blake stated in the video below, “Alex had personal reasons that he had to bow out of the competition.” That meant Neil got a solo performance and an automatic advance to the Knockout Rounds.
Chance the Rapper paired NOIVAS with Ray Uriel for the final Battle Rounds performance of season 23 on The Voice. The two artists performed John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy.” Both did a very good job. The video below was posted as a teaser for last night’s episode so it does not show what choice was made by Chance.
Chance chose Ray as the winner. That allowed Blake to press his button and use his “Steal” to bring NOIVAS to Team Blake.
The show will not be on next week for some reason. The Knockout Rounds will begin Monday, April 17th. Joining all the teams as the Mega Mentor will be Country Music Icon Reba McEntire.
