FINALLY! Reba McEntire will join the upcoming Season 23 of The Voice!
It’s not quite in the way the show originally planned. Reba was actually the shows first choice when the show started back in 2011 and they were looking for a country coach to round out the show. She turned the show down due to scheduling reasons, and because she didn’t think she would be good at telling people NO. So, the job went to Blake Shelton, and he has been one to help put the show on the map, and keep it there all these years as a fan favorite.
Years ago, Reba served as Battle Advisor to Team Blake during the show’s first season, and now she is returning as the Mega Mentor for all contestants, for Blake’s final season before he departs the show at the end of Season 23.
Reba will join Blake, as well as Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Chance the Rapper, to mentor their contestants who make it through the battle rounds, as they head toward the Knockouts that begin on April 17th.
What a perfect way to bring Blake and Reba together!
The Voice Season 23 premieres Monday, March 6 at 8PM ET on NBC.
