Carly Pearce’s 29: Written in Stone album, including her latest single, “What He Didn’t Do,” was inspired by one of the most difficult years of her life. It was when she went through a very public divorce less than a year after she got married. She also had to deal with the death of Busbee, her dear friend and the only producer she had ever worked with.
Having come out better than ever on the other side of that painful year, Carly wants anyone going through their own difficult time to know that she has been there. And if she could share any encouraging words with them, it would be this.
“Oh my goodness. Just to hang on. You don’t know what is going on in your life and why. And I think so many times we think this season in our life, that’s maybe hard, is the worst thing that’s ever happened. And I promise you that there’s a reason that you’re going through that and it’s going to exceed any… It’s just gonna blow your mind.”
Carly’s life has definitely done a 180 since she was going through the trials of a year that nearly broke her. She is now the reigning ACM and CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, she’s in a happy healthy relationship, and she was just named one of CMT’s Artists of the Year for 2022.
