Kelly Clarkson paid tribute to Dolly Parton at the ACM Awards and now Dolly is singing HER praises!

Kelly took the stage at the 2022 ACM Awards to honor the incredible Dolly Parton (who hosted the awards show.) Kelly wanted to honor Dolly’s incredible career in country music and performed a moving rendition of “I Will Always Love You.” The jaw-dropping song, which was originally sung by Parton in 1973 before being made even more famous by Whitney Houston in 1992, left the crowd in awe.

After the performance Dolly said, “Oh, my gosh. That is so great. I know that Whitney is smiling down on us tonigh. She’d be proud of that. I was backstage trying not to cry my fake eyelashes off.”

Dolly appeared later on the Kelly Clarkson show and raved about Kelly’s performance saying it was one of the best ever!

Kelly showed even more love to Dolly at the beginning of the show during her “Kellyoke” segment with another incredible cover of “Jolene!”

Kelly and Dolly have also teamed up to rerecord a new version of her hit “9 to 5” for the Still Working 9 to 5 documentary, and we can’t wait to hear that!
