Cody Johnson is getting a great honor for his life before being a country music singer-songwriter.
Cody is playing the Houston Rodeo tonight. Rodeo is something he knows a lot about. He was a bull rider as a teen. Thursday night the cowboy turned country singer will be inducted in the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. It is an honor that Cody is still trying to process.
“It’s a huge honor. Whenever you actually live the cowboy life and Texas Cowboy Hall Of Fame says they want to give you an award … It’s like you start examining yourself like, ‘Whoa, what did I do to get this?’ you know? But, at the same time it’s so dang cool because eight-year-old little Cody that just wanted to be a bull rider would have never believed that this was happening, so I’m pretty thankful.”
Cody’s latest single “‘Til You Can’t” is top 10 and climbing at number eight. That could be another honor in the near future … His first number one single.”
Congratulations to Cody Johnson on this amazing honor from the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame!
