The Grammy Awards have moved location and date which has forced the CMT Awards to reschedule the date as well.

The 64th annual Grammy Awards were originally set to take place later this month at the Crypto.com Arena in LA.

Due to rising concerns with COVID-19 the awards have been postponed to April 3rd and will be broadcast live on the CBS television network from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

That new date was the night the 2022 CMT Awards had been scheduled for. That means the CMT Awards had to make a move as well.

“We came together quickly with our partners at the Recording Academy and CMT to strategically reschedule these two incredible music events,” said Jack Sussman of CBS.

The plan is to reschedule the event for another date in April.

Look for the new date for the CMT Awards to be announced within the next few weeks.
