Ashley McBryde grew up watching award shows. Like most people she was captivated by the pageantry and excitement of the events. Unlike most people, she knew that was where she would be in the future.

“I loved watching award shows because everybody was in one place … All these super stars are in one place, and they’re all dressed up, and there’s a lot of like really beautiful tension … Really happy tension in the room. I don’t know if there was one moment, but I loved the performances. Watching people accept awards, and stuff like that … The thing in me that wanted to be there, could look at it and go ‘right there it is, right on the other side of the television screen, that’s where I’m going to be someday’.”

Ashley will be there at the 2021 CMA Awards as a multiple nominee. She is nominated for both Song of the Year and Single of the Year for her song “One Night Standards”. She is also a nominee in the Female Vocalist of the Year category.

We will find out if she wins any or all of those awards during the live broadcast of the 55th Annual CMA Awards Show Wednesday, November 10th at 8/7 central on ABC.
