Justin Moore is standing on the doorstep of his next #1 song with “We Didn’t Have Much,” which would be his tenth #1 song of his career. He credits the success of the song to the feel and the melody. “It sounds totally different than anything we’ve ever done,” says Justin.
If you listen closely, “We Didn’t Have Much” has a beat reminiscent of the sound of a train rolling down the tracks, and Justin says, “I think we had a song maybe on the last album that had that. But never ever released anything like that to radio. And there really aren’t many of those songs. There haven’t been over the years. McGraw‘s had a couple of ‘em maybe over the last ten, fifteen years.”
Whatever it is that made the fans love Justin’s latest song, he says, “It’s a really well written song,” which he didn’t help write, because he says jokingly, “They didn’t invite me into this one, which kinda ticks me off.”
“We Didn’t Have Much” is off of Justin’s latest collection of music, Straight Outta the Country, which he released back in March. Listen for the song on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
