Blake Shelton was a guest on Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show on Thursday (June 24). The Voice coach joined DeGeneres for a game where contestants had to pick a word that ties two other words together, for example, “couch” and “salad” would be joined by the word, “potato.”

Two women played the game and each round the loser would get a pie in the face and doused with hard seltzer, the game was sponsored by Shelton’s new partnership with Smithworks Vodka.

Everyone went home a winner, one contestant won $1,000 and the “loser” won a new television. Viewers also won, as Shelton performed his new song “Minimum Wage” which could be Blake’s 29th number one on the Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

Shelton just turned 45 about a week ago and is expected to marry girlfriend Gwen Stefani before going on the road starting August 18th for his “Friends and Heroes” tour.
