Tenille Arts has a major hit on her hands as “Somebody Like That” has reached the Top 10 this week.
Last July the country music singer-songwriter was just taking care of a normal errand. However, this trip would become a special one as she heard her song on the radio for the first time.
Tenille stopped her car and recorded a video of the milestone moment in her life. She ended up getting a little emotional.
Tenille explains why the moment ended up being so emotionally powerful for her…
“You know, I had seen other people take videos of themselves…hearing themselves on the radio for the first time. So, I decided to film myself and had no clue that I was going to get so emotional. I think it’s just one of those things, that driving into Nashville I was listening to the radio, and thinking ‘I want to be on the radio- here – in Nashville – at some point…you know, I want this to happen.’ So, that was kind of a very full circle moment for me…where it was just like all of those dreams, all of the sacrifices…everything was so worth it in that moment, and that’s why I got so emotional about it.”
“Somebody Like That” continues to climb the charts. Listen for it on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
