Meet the pilot who will lead the flyover at this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

We always get excited about the game and the commercials, the performances, half time show, national anthem and more…but how about the flyover at the big game?

Right as the National Anthem wraps, which will be performed by Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan this year, the command bombers fly over the stadium at the most precise moment that always gives me goosebumps.

Captain Sarah Kociuba is already an accomplished military pilot, and she’s about to add another line to her resume – Super Bowl pilot.

Kociuba – a veteran of over 90 combat missions – has been tapped as the lead pilot for Sunday’s Super Bowl flyover, piloting a B-2 Spirit flanked by a B-1B Lancer and a B-52 Stratofortress.

While football fans will only see the planes for a few seconds, Kociuba says the full flight will actually last for nearly eight hours – which means she won’t get to see the actual game.

Here are some amazing flyovers from past games.
