Last night (12/8) the Top 9 became the Top 5 on Season 19 of The Voice during the Live Semi-Finals Results Show.
The first order of business during last night’s episode was to reveal the artists with the most votes from each team. Those four artists earned an automatic advance to the Finals next week. Those four artists in the order they were revealed on the show were: Desz (Team Kelly), John Holiday (Team Legend), Jim Ranger (Team Blake) and Carter Rubin (Team Gwen).
Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Gwen Stefani would then watch the remaining artists each perform live to win the last “Wild Card Instant Save” of the season. The artist that got the most votes when Carson Daly opened the five-minute voting window would claim the fifth and final spot in next week’s Finals. Below are those performances in the order they took place on the show.
Ben Allen (Team Gwen)
Cami Clune (Team Kelly)
Bailey Rae (Team Legend)
Tamara Jade (Team Legend)
Ian Flanigan (Team Blake)
When the performances ended the voting began. When the voting window closed the results were revealed.
Blake Shelton will have two artists in the Finals next week as Ian Flanigan won the final “Wild Card Instant Save” for season 19 of The Voice.
The question is will having two artists possibly dividing Team Blake fan votes hurt Blake’s chance to win another season?
The live performances for the Season 19 Finals on The Voice will begin at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC Monday, December 14th.
