Were you planning a wedding this year? If so, you might be one of the many couples who are facing the tough decision on what to do with their wedding day.
While public gatherings are on hold due to Coronavirus lockdowns, many couples who had plans to walk down the aisle are having to postpone their big day. But, if you live in New York, there may be another option.
On Saturday, Governor Cuomo signed an executive order suspending the in person requirements for marriages. Now until May 15th, New Yorkers can obtain their marriage license online, and get married by a state clerk who would perform the ceremony over video conference, like Zoom.
Are you supposed to get married in the next few months? If this was an option in Illinois, would you rather postpone your wedding, or get married over video chat?
