IL Governor J.B. Pritzker Mandates Event Cancellations

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has mandated the cancellation of large events and requested the cancellation of smaller events due to COVID-19.

Gov. Pritzker announced he has talked to the major sports teams in Illinois and they have agreed to either cancel games or play them without fans in attendance through at least May 1st.

He also mandated the cancellation of events that will draw 1,000 people or more through at least May 1st.

Gov. Pritzker has also request organizers of community events, personal events and social events that will include more than 250 people seriously consider cancelling or rescheduling them.
