Amtrak: Passenger on train that stopped in B-N tested positive for Coronavirus

NORMAL – An Amtrak train that makes stops in Pontiac and Normal is suspected of carrying the coronavirus.

A woman traveling from Chicago to St. Louis has tested “presumptive positive” for Covid-19.

Amtrak released a statement saying that the individual arrived in St. Louis and tested positive for the virus.

They go on to say they are working closely with public health officials, and the train in question has been taken out of commission for deep cleaning and disinfecting.

Amtrak is notifying travelers and employees who were on the train on March 4, the day the individual tested positive.

The Lincoln Service 303 makes stops in Joliet, Dwight, Pontiac, Normal, and Lincoln.
